After the hugely acclaimed ‘Young Blood’ EP, the amazing Only Girl is back with incredible new double-sided single release ‘Fortune’ and ‘Water’ via her own label, So Gold Music.

Only Girl is an R&B/soul/pop London-based singer-songwriter who’s had widespread acclaim from Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music, Tom Robinson, John Kennedy & Jo Good on XFM, Dermot O’Leary on BBC Radio 2 and Edith Bowman in ELLE, The Fader, Noisey, The 405 and DIY, to name but a few.

Her R&B indebted 90’s grooves full of soulful heartaches and swells are at their best on new tracks ‘Fortune’ and ‘Water’, recorded at prestigious Abbey Road Studios and co-written / produced with emerging UK producer Lostboy.

Combining her uniquely stirring, soulful vocals with an ethereal R&B backdrop and a celestial gospel-infused choir of harmonies, ‘Fortune’ and ‘Water’ were recorded at Abbey Road Studios and co-written & produced with emerging UK producer Lostboy.

Speaking about a-side track ‘Fortune’, Only Girl says: “‘Fortune’ is a song about the value we place in our relationships. When we build up our emotional fortune with someone, it’s so easy to take them for granted and forget what you have, until something happens to make you realise how much you have to lose: “I built my fortune up on you, I didn’t know I had so much to lose – so let me treasure you.” I’ve learnt this the hard way, so this song holds a really important message to me about really cherishing what you have with someone.”

‘Fortune’ will be supported by Only Girl’s largest headline show to date at The Courtyard Theatre in London on 24th April. Tickets are available here
