Few things are as exciting as seeing two amazing producers team up on something that turns out to be an absolute banger. Escape is the second single to drop as part of ‘Nerds Week’, out on Monstercat and acts as a classic example of the innate talents of both the producers.

With a poster suggesting it to be somewhat video-gamish, the track has more than just the fun and funky element to it. With some unexpected rush of energy and clear, subtle vocals the track sets up a mood for hard core dancing. And while that happens, suddenly one is pulled into the urge of head-banging to the dub bits of the track. Fun, energetic and vibrant is what this track is.

As unique as their name, is the music of the Scandinavian producers Alex Odden and Michael Parsberg, calling themselves Pegboard Nerds. The unlikely duo formed when multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning Parsberg joined forces with Odden, the kingpin of the Demoscene in the Norwegian underground.
The pair that has largely been nurtured by Monstercat have contributed remixes for Above & beyond, Tïësto, Armin van Buuren and a lot more.

As a client of TH3RD BRAIN, the management team behind the global electro-punk sensation, Krewella, Alex and Michael have been on a blazing trail through the electronic music scene. And as one of the most highly touted names on Monstercat, a label that has progressively become one of the most respected names in dance music, the Pegboard Nerds continue to build their #NerdNation into an international army.

Dion Timmer is a name that’s being heard quite often in the scene these days. His unique and cinematic approach has gained him much acclaim as he rose from the Netherland’s rave scene.
Dion’s vibrant-meets-vicious signature sound began to take shape through releases on Rottun Recordings (Plug Me In and My World EPs) followed by collaborative works on Excision’s 2016 Virus album, including festival staples “Final Boss” and “Harambe.”

After collaborations under his belt from the likes of Snails, Bro Safari, Datsik, Adventure Club and of course Excision, a packed tour schedule and a massive ascent into the realm of headliners from a young age, Dion has come into his own as a major force in bass music.

This one has surely turned out to be a piece of lasting fun and paves way for the talents to venture higher in their careers here on.
