Having been a fan of dance music and Armin van Buuren since 2003, I was inspired to start my own electronic music publication with a very simple, and clear goal - to share electronic music with old, and new fans alike. Working alongside a great team has made me keep that goal alive, and build on it.

Poulish Kid Drops His Spotify Selections

‘In The Shadow of A Giant’ is the brand new album forthcoming from young producer Poulish Kid, slated on German label Audiolith and a stunning debut for an artist entering their prime.

After gracing stages in Europe at the likes of Sonne Mond Sterne and Canaletto Festival, he’s been working on his biggest project to date and is set to release it this coming Autumn. His brand new single ‘Fairytale’ is an introduction for what’s to come and the benchmark was already high when looking at a back catalogue which includes collaborations with the likes of NVDES, BLVCK CROWZ and more.

This is something he will be adding to as more album singles are revealed throughout the continuing Summer.

With its cross pollination of genres, ‘Fairytale’ gives an insight into Poulish Kid’s style, as well as the versatility in his production. You can also see this reflected in the Spotify playlist selections he’s made for us, which you can check out below. Featuring a range of influences from the artist, it gives an introspection into what he’s used to inspire the tracks which are laid out throughout his forthcoming LP.

‘Fairytale’ is out now on Audiolith.

Elton John – Rocket Man

The music and life of Elton John is my earliest musical memory and continues to be a great inspiration for me to this day. Before I started producing music, I used to play in an Elton John cover band and sing his songs with my father. We toured from wedding to wedding and from birthday party to birthday party with the sound of Elton John.

Baauer – Home (Special Request Remix)

I bought my first Laptop at the age of 17, downloaded Garageband and started to produce music. I always had the music of Baauer in my mind at this time, because I loved the way he makes music. He really thinks outside the box and delivers very vibey and unique music. He influenced me very strongly into the electronic music scene.

Twenty One Pilots – Guns for Hands

Their energetic music and the fusion of EDM, Hip-Hop, and Pop always impressed me and led me to the decision to perform my tracks on stage with a band. It was the right decision to play my songs with a drummer and bassist to get a new unique approach on how to present EDM and Indie music to a festival or club crowd.

Oliver Tree, Whethan – When I’m Down In 2022

I had the honor of going on tour with Oliver Tree in Germany, and that was one of the best moments in my career when I had the chance to meet my idol. If you listen to a lot of Baauer’s music, sooner or later you come across the producer Whethan and the artist Oliver Tree. Oliver Tree immediately captivated me and continues to be a great inspiration with his unique music and extravagant appearance.

NVDES, POULISH KID – Fire In The Streets

As I met Josh aka NVDES in Berlin 2018 when he was supporting Oliver Tree, I never thought about collabing with him. At this time I wasn’t even thinking about starting my project “POULISH KID” but 4 years later Josh and I released our first track. I’m so thankful for it!

POULISH KID – Situation Critical

I started POULISH KID completely independent with no management and no label by releasing an EP. After I released it CloudKid records reached out to me to release a couple of tracks with me. I was so excited and happy that such a big label would like to work with me. As Situation Critical was released I got a huge support from both the fans and the music industry. This song kind of opened a lot of doors.

POULISH KID – You Won’t Fall

Becoming an artist is the most challenging thing I’ve ever done (and I used to become a professional pilot). I’m facing a lot of rejection and phases of depression. I’ve been broke for a long time now and it’s still a struggle to pay my rent with music. I also studied Audio Engineering beside my career as a musician and when you think life couldn’t be more stressful my girlfriend broke up with me. However there is my music which always prevents me from falling. This was the time when I wrote and produced You Won’t Fall in November 2022 and released it independently on Spotify in January 2023. The fan support has been incredible on this track and I really appreciate all the love and it makes me so happy that my music reaches so many hearts.

Milky Chance – Synchronize

I am from Germany like Milky Chance and since they released Stolen Dance, they are a huge inspiration for my music especially when it comes to their incredible international success. These guys are truly amazing and I think we are both chasing the same dream: Creating an international and unique sound.

POULISH KID – Melting

In my music, I always strive to break genre boundaries and approach music production as uniquely as possible. It’s important to me that the uniqueness and energy of EDM music are present, as well as the emotive sounds of indie. “Melting” is a good example of my approach to writing music.

Gashi – Roses

I get goosebumps when I tell this story: After supporting Oliver Tree in 2022, I had the opportunity to support Gashi on his tour throughout Germany, and it was an incredibly intense time. It was my first major tour, and Gashi proved to be the kindest person ever. He supported me and took the time to get to know me better. He even signed my guitar, and we had profound conversations backstage about life and love. I still feel incredibly blessed by this experience.
