‘Power To The People’ remix by Tube & Berger is pure chaos

‘Power To The People’ just got a savage new twist. Tube & Berger have come in swinging with a wild remix of Leon and Shaf Huse’s 2018 club banger to mark Mother Recordings’ 10th anniversary-and this one’s absolutely lethal. Released on April 11, the remix is already heating up pre-summer playlists, ready to blast its way through every beach, basement, and festival tent in 2025.

If you were anywhere near a decent DJ set back in 2018, you already know what the original did to dancefloors. ‘Power To The People’ became a go-to weapon, rinsed by legends like Carl Cox, The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler, and Luciano.

That chopped-up vocal sample from Wildchild’s Renegade Master and the hypnotic groove turned it into a certified Ibiza anthem-especially on the legendary DC10 Terrace, where it felt like it was dropped every night that summer. The energy was so wild, people joked it jumped the airport fence and made its way onto flights leaving Ibiza.

Fast-forward to now and it’s Berlin’s own Tube & Berger stepping up to flip the script. Known for their work on Kittball Recordings and an impressive Beatport run, the duo were handpicked by Mother Recordings boss Nhan Solo to inject new fire into one of the label’s biggest tunes. And they did not disappoint.

The ‘Power To The People’ remix doesn’t play nice. It drags you straight into the shadowy depths of the club’s backroom, where the lights are low and the subs hit like thunder. From the opening beat, there’s this eerie, cinematic tension-something straight out of a horror flick. The synths sound like they’re lifted from a John Carpenter score, huge and menacing, shaking the walls of this tech-house cathedral. Timbales tap against your spine, and by the time the Renegade Master line hits, you’re fully possessed.

It’s darker, harder, and a whole lot more twisted than the original. But somehow, it still captures that same raw spirit. The kind that gets you throwing your hands up without thinking. The remix doesn’t just ask you to dance-it dares you not to.

And the timing couldn’t be better. With summer creeping up, this version of ‘Power To The People’ is already showing up in early festival sets. The high-energy, tech-heavy vibe feels engineered to blow up at outdoor stages and sweaty late-night raves alike. The boys at Mother Recordings nailed it by lining up Tube & Berger for the 10-year celebration. According to the label, this rework adds a “festival techy” punch that’s got “weapon” written all over it-and that’s honestly spot on.

What makes this remix really pop though, is how well it balances nostalgia with forward-thinking production. You can still hear the DNA of that 2018 monster, but now it’s mutated into something meaner. It’s got that Berlin grit laced with just enough groove to keep it from going full industrial. And let’s be honest, the fact that it opens like a horror movie and ends in full dancefloor euphoria is kinda genius.

Tube & Berger have been at this for a while, but this remix proves they still know how to surprise. They took a track everyone already loved and somehow made it feel brand new. No gimmicks, no fluff-just pure, sweaty club energy.

Heard the new remix yet? Crank it up and see if it doesn’t flip your brain inside out.
