That’s the motto that has brought this 27 year old producer’s music to worlds largest stage. Having produced for 8 years, 2017 was his breakout year. Lucati has gained the respect from the underground and the legends that sit at the top of the game.
Artists such as Claude VonStroke, Shiba San, Tchami, Malaa, and Mark Knight have all played or released this young and handsome producers’ music. On January 1st, 2018 he debuted his Whistling Duck EP on the mighty DIRTYBIRD label to rave reviews. Mixing groovy, with clean, sexy, and simple, Lucati’s unique sound emerges among the new wave of House producers. Refusing to impersonate his idols, but instead taking inspiration, Lucati aims for something different and unheard of. Ramping up in 2018 with a stacked release schedule and upcoming shows, the sky’s the limit for this old dog.
His new EP, was made with the club in mind. Simple, yet effective basslines with precise leads. No extras, just the essentials. Inertia makes you question reality when the 2nd breakdown because of an unexpected tempo change. Ounce, which is a collaboration with his Brazilian buddy MKJAY, pays tribute to the days of Dutch House. Big churning bass with a single crispy lead chopping at it, heavy percussion driving the track forwards and a vocal telling you to “Ounce”. This one has been driving crowds crazy everywhere its been played!
The ‘Inertia/ Ounce’ EP drops May 25, 2018 on Psycho Disco! Founded by Treasure Fingers, Psycho Disco skews to the left of house music from the east side of Atlanta, and has had releases this year from Golf Clap, Codes, Craze, Eyes Everywhere, Gettoblaster, and more.
