Prismo puts an end to a two-year release hiatus with a delightful dance-pop duet alongside singer-songwriter Elle Vee on “Ignite,” the latest single to catch fire on the burgeoning Lost In Dreams imprint.

After maintaining a low profile for the last 24 months, the Texas-born, L.A-based sensation is reemerging into the spotlight with a vengeance. Prismo breaks the radio silence with the aptly titled “Ignite,” a vocal-led ballad stoking the flames of romance to keep the passion from burning out. Joined by Las Vegas’ esteemed songstress Elle Vee, the two dance around the topic as a magnetic singing duet. They exchange words vehemently, with their harmonious hooks and striking solo verses calling to mind a heated dialogue between partners putting in the work to be on the same page. The intense interaction is mirrored by its equally invigorating production work. Jangling piano keys and thrumming bass plucks bubble underneath the vocal croons. It eventually erupts into an inextinguishable delivery of galvanizing synth chords, quivering low-end, and a bold, swinging brass section that shows the couple the way out.

“‘Ignite’ started as a love song regarding my desire to periodically stimulate the “chasing” feeling in my relationship,” says Prismo. “All relationships naturally have ups and downs, and it’s an electrifying feeling to reignite and remind my partner about the foundation of love and attraction that’s brought us together. This song is really all about triggering that exciting rush and reigniting a relationship instead of just going through standard romantic motions.”

“Prismo’s manager Anthony sent my manager a bunch of WIPs and I instantly resonated with ‘Ignite,’” adds Elle Vee. “Prismo had an extraordinary production and some melody lines that were so hooky. We proposed that I add a few things to it, and then it all came to fruition. I can’t say enough how great Prismo and his team was to work with. I think we have a hybrid soul-, crossover EDM-, pop-anthem here. Welcome back, Prismo!

The illustrious Elle Vee has been a huge hit in the dance music space. Her distinguished voice has also managed to hold a lot of weight across a handful of the Insomniac Music Group catalogs. From NIGHTMODE to Gud Vibrations, the renowned songstress has graced tracks such as Synymata’s “Guilty,” as well as SLANDER and Marauda’s harbinger of pain, “Suffer.” Elle has also been a regular name on the Lost In Dreams label, having worked alongside nøll on “Whisper,” while most recently jumping on Highlnd’s “Do Your Worst.”

Up until the world came to a screeching halt in 2020, Zach Burgett was responsible for a ceaseless output of releases under the guise of Prismo. The multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer had spent the better half of the last decade using his vast toolbox of talents to build an impressive discography that has surpassed a quarter of a billion combined streams to date. With an ability to cycle between heavier bass tracks to softer masterpieces engrained in melody, the triple threat from Texas was on top of the world when deciding to hit the pause button. Now that he is back up and running for his debut appearance on Lost In Dreams, it feels as though he never actually left to begin with.

Prismo’s new single ‘Ignite’ is available on all platforms via Lost In Dreams Records.
