UK-based producer and Monstercat veteran Rameses B returned to the label today, teaming up with renowned singer-songwriter Laura Brehm for their beautiful melodic bass single, “Don’t Need You.”

Detailing the journey of self-discovery that often follows after a breakup, “Don’t Need You” serves as the sequel to Rameses B’s single “I Need You.” Laura Brehm’s stunning vocals pierce through the mix, with the powerful lyrics adding a layer of raw emotion to the track.

The pitch-bent synth lead, warm chords, and bright arpeggiators form a vibrant melody while the deep basses and orchestral drums drive the single forward. While seemingly melancholic, “Don’t Need You” delivers a dose of strength and self-worth.

Rameses B shares, “‘Don’t Need You’ is an uplifting melodic dubstep track featuring gorgeous vocals and hard-hitting lyrics by Laura Brehm that gives an emotive yet powerful feeling to the listener.”

Laura Brehm adds, “This isn’t a heartbreak song that’s meant to be sad, but rather about growth and empowerment. Tough processing and acceptance come along with a breakup, but sometimes things have to break down in order to make room for new beginnings. It’s about self-awareness and knowing what is best for you.”

Over the course of his decade-long career, Rameses B has released countless projects and singles spanning a multitude of genres. Best known for his drum and bass stylings and poignant storytelling abilities, the talented producer has released on industry flagships such as Liquicity, Monstercat, NCS, and Seeking Blue. As live shows continue to return, fans can look forward to seeing Rameses B at Liquicity Festival in July.

After beginning her career as a classically trained pianist, Laura Brehm quickly developed an affinity for singing and songwriting. Her innovative style draws inspiration from a multitude of genres, including folk, alternative, electronic, pop, and experimental.

As one of the most sought-after vocalists in the dance music space, Laura Brehm has worked with some of the genre’s biggest artists, amassing nearly 500 million streams across platforms. Following the release of her debut album, ‘The Dawn Is Still Dark’ last year, she’s showing no signs of slowing down in 2022.
