REAPER reflects on the return to his roots stating: “I spent months cultivating new ideas for the REAPER sound palette. The result overcomplicated my process so much that I returned to my roots and wrote this catchy, energetic jump-up record. It’s a simple idea, with maybe only 15 tracks in the project. That simplicity made it infectious and stuck with me.
