Dutch duo Bougenvilla is back with a tune that is guaranteed to make the crowd want to party. An uplifting sound and infectious house beat will make them smile and bring sunshine to every dance floor. ‘Sunshower’ – which is named after a shower with UV light – is already supported by Tiesto, Oliver Heldens, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Don Diablo and more.
Not bothered by any limitations when it comes to underground versus mainstream, Rotterdam residents Shefida Nagel and Jeremy van der Hoeven combine everything that’s made dance so appealing throughout the years. Bringing together classic vibes as well as the sounds from deep and future house, here’s a duo that knows the craft of getting dance floors in a frenzy. And their newest track ‘Sunshower’ is another good example showing how well they master this craft. “The melody for ‘Sunshower’ was recorded in one take and was straight away as we desired. A year ago we produced the track, we finished it in three hours.”, explains Shefida.
Teaming up a couple of years ago, it was definitely a match made in Rotterdam heaven. And immediately it was clear Bougenvilla wasn’t planning to pigeonhole itself when it comes to producing music. Both Shefida and Jeremy have a background in several genres, finding common ground in the bass heavy house tunes they make today. The result, a duo that’s focused on the groove, while not afraid of raising a little hell once in a while. Spring 2015 sees the guys break international acclaim with their remake of dance classic ‘Homeless’, getting supported by a wide range of DJs, including Oliver Heldens, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix and Sidney Samson. This is followed by two more chart hitting tracks; the SPRS release ‘Take It Back’ and their smashing collab with British house talent Curbi, the invigorating ‘Butterfly Effect’, again supported by loads of DJs, including Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Tiësto, Oliver Heldens, Tchami and Zedd.
Bougenvilla has become a well known name in home country The Netherlands, playing gigs at renowned Dutch events and venues like Dance Valley, Mumbai Colour Festival, stadium de Kuip in Rotterdam and Club Escape in Amsterdam. Signing to the well-respected MusicAllStars Management early 2015 rises the buzz around their name even more. And, with their music gaining widespread support, it looks like the guys are about to set sail on new international adventures.
