After reviving Delerium and Sarah McLachlan’s iconic 1999 record “Silence” last fall, Australian duo Sunset Child’s remake has received a three-part remix package.
Out now on Ultra Music, Sunset Child’s brooding house cut is reworked by Alex Preston, GT & Wildfire and Monarchs, each transforming the top 5 ARIA club chart shredder into an entirely new groove. Preston speeds up the track’s synth and percussion work, GT & Wildfire take the future bass route and Monarchs extracts the track’s vocals to pair with a classic house beat.
Comprised of Melburnian producer Jorj Pats, songstress Charlz and Los Angeles-based beatmaker Dennis White, Sunset Child is making a name for themselves as an up-and-coming three-piece with a fresh, instrumentally-driven sound. Between their remixes of hits like Lost Frequencies’ “Are You With Me” and BOTH’s radio success “Straight Outta Line,” and Charlz’ highly sought-after songwriting and vocal appearances, most recently featured on Deadmau5’s MAU5TRAP imprint with the single “Jagged,” Sunset Child is a sound-sculpting trio to keep your eyes on.
