Today, Rezz announces the launch of her new record label, ‘HypnoVizion,’ a step in the DIY direction for the legendary Canadian Producer/DJ.
The product of Rezz’ unique, genre-bending sound, HypnoVizion (distributed by Universal Music Canada/Virgin Music Label and Artist Services) will ensnare listeners with the music of the void.
“After years of consideration, finally I’m launching my own label called HypnoVizion,” says Rezz. “As my touring schedule has become more specific, I have more time to focus on other projects I am passionate about. A music label being one of them! I can’t wait to hear all the cool new songs by artists & play them in my sets & even collaborate with them,” she added.
Sold-out venues, millions of streams and headlining slots at festivals worldwide have earned Isabelle Rezazadeh AKA Rezz her status as a dance music pacemaker. Not only did Rezz grace the cover of Billboard, she has also been attributed with leading the crossover between dance and rock music. Her 2019 ‘Beyond the Senses’ EP paid off in its ambition and versatile list of collaborators, earning praise from Alternative Press, SPIN and Billboard, as well as the JUNO Award for Electronic Album of the Year in 2020.
Most recently, Rezz released her first single through RCA Records, ‘Someone Else,’ in 2020 followed by the highly anticipated single ‘Hypnocurrency’ with deadmau5. She released her third studio album, Spiral, in 2021, which featured collaborations with female vocalists in Dove Cameron, Emily Haines of Metric, and more, furthering her exploration into venturing in the realms of pop, indie, and rock.
The announcement also comes just ahead of Rezz’s back to back ‘Rezz Rocks’ sold out shows at Red Rocks on October 27 and 28. Those at Red Rocks and other upcoming tour dates will hear Rezz play HypnoVizion label tracks, which she has referred to as “stuff that makes you question existence.
Since her 2015 debut on Skrillex’s label OWSLA, Rezz has lured listeners in with mesmerizing tracks that strike a balance between bass-heavy and minimal tech. Now with HypnoVizion, a label made for music with the same degree of magnetism, Rezz is expanding the dark, trippy atmosphere she has crafted over the years.
