RIOT TEN and Cesqeaux join forces on their first-ever collab, “Bang Bang,” on Bassrush Records.

Two of bass music’s most shell-shocking exports are going ballistic, as they mob over to Bassrush Records together with their label debut. The Texas-based dubstep heavy-hitter RIOT Ten is going in cahoots with the dynamic Dutch powerhouse Cesqeaux to create a high-caliber cut that is locked and loaded for peak-time glory. A short succession of claps and woodblock percussion are the first warning shots sent out at the start of the track, letting listeners stare down the barrel of the veritable banger the artists have in store. Echoing chants and grunts soon sound off in the distance, later joined by rumbling chords and tension-building drums. Once the beat is caught dead in the pair of producer’s crosshairs, they commence to fire off clip after clip of cacophonous synth blasts, working through armor-piercing sequences of 808 drums, laser-sharp riffs, body-crushing bass, and ever-evolving energy that stays fresh every step of the way. With its rail-riding energy and bounce-fitted undertones, “Bang Bang” sits smack-dab in the center of two parties involved.

The unlikely union between these artists came seemingly out of nowhere, making for a speaker-snapping coalition we never knew we needed. Based out of El Paso, RIOT TEN has been ripping through the bass scene with chart-topping releases that have put him in good standings with camps such as Never Say Die, Excision Music, Rottun Recordings, and his heavily frequented Dim Mak. His Hail to the Rail blew the lid off of the Hollywood Palladium back in February, marking one of the last wall-to-wall dubstep shows since the lockdown started. On the other hand, Cesqeaux has kept a steady stream of releases all across the map, ranging from bass house, trap, electro, hard dance and everything in between. His discog alone should speak volumes of his untethered versatility, counting off an array of lauded labels from the likes of Barong Family, Mad Decent, bitbird, STMPD, and Musical Freedom. Taking their respective stopping power into account, this very rare collab does exactly what the title on the tin suggests: it goes BANG!
