The duo, Riton, and Kah-Lo are rising stars in the industry with the production of the UK based Riton and the voice of Nigerian Kah- Lo being a one-of-a-kind match! Their new single – Up & Down, is picked up from the forthcoming album, Foreign Ororo.
The album which is due to release on the 28th of September is much anticipated. Leading up to that, ‘Up & Down’ comes out to create the right vibe, being an energetic track itself. The bouncy beginning is coupled with some amazing bass-lines and sets up a good tempo. With the synth-chords getting stronger in its prominence, the vocals also create a very groovy vibe for the track. This track is definitely a great party starter!
The album also includes some of their bangers from the past 2 years, like Fasta, Fake ID and Ginger which received huge support across Rinse FM and Kiss Fresh, and also grabbed the attention of Annie Mac, Mistajam, and Target.
Discussing their musical chemistry, Riton explains: “I was always on the look-out for a singer that had something a little bit special. Finally, my prayers were answered in the form of Kah-Lo.”
Having amassed over 140 million streams on previous releases together, Riton & Kah-Lo have become one of dance music’s most irresistibly in-demand duos, blending their talents to form a number of stomping house hits, including the Grammy-nominated ‘Rinse & Repeat’.
“The last couple of years have been incredible!” said Kah-Lo. “After being nominated for the Grammys, doing my first ever U.S and Australian tours, hitting more than 10 million streams on ‘Fake ID’, and making a remix for Selena Gomez, I’m extremely excited for Foreign Ororo to drop. It’s been super special working with Riton on these tracks and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”
The duo first met on social media and have grown quite rapidly, releasing hits in a series. The two also played at the Boardmasters and Pukkelpop festivals recently. The current release first featured during their performances at Reading & Leeds and SW4.
It is quite incredible what these two have achieved in the past couple of years, both in creating music as well as receiving support and acclaim across the globe. It only keeps getting exciting to see what they have got in store for the future.
