After 12 years in the game, March 2018 saw Rusko arrive at Circus Records, finally bringing together two of the biggest champions of a sound that shaped what we know as modern-day dubstep.

The man who in Flux Pavilion’s very own words “is the inspiration behind the label” made his debut with the massive single “Hot,” with that single being the first zinger from his new extended player – five fresh helpings of Rusko riddims, wrapped up into one killer product entitled Rusko Has Made 5 More Songs.

Rusko, aka Chris Mercer, broke out of Leeds in the north of England with his frequent collaborator Caspa back in 2007 with the seminal Fabriclive.37 mix, that cemented the pair as flag bearers of the contemporary dubstep sound that went on to dominate the world. Has Made 5 More Songs is the current incarnation of this sound, taking the classic, flipping it on it’s head, adding a little sauce and throwing it back in your face with a wry smile. We’ve got a spread of the laid back with “Emotional,” featuring the Guyanese/Indian/Canadian artist Anjulie who has become known in recent years for her work to help end violence across the world, through to the hard hitting that is club anthem “Walalangaleng,” a massive collaborative effort from Dangerous, Fraksure and Simskai.

Coming off a 3 week warm up run, in which he sold out over 95% of his shows, we have begun to see his name pop up with the headliners and special guest sections of major festivals.

This is his heart on a sleeve, this is a pivotal moment in time: this is the definition of Rusko in 2018.

Has Five More Songs tracklist:

1) Rusko, Dangerous, Fraksure & Simskai – Walalangleng
2) Rusko – High
3) Rusko – Hot
4) Rusko – Mind The Gap
5) Rusko – Emotional feat. Anjulie
