Ukrain’s Sagan brings new fire to Don Diablo’s HEXAGON imprint with a fresh release. ‘Happiness’ is his second outing on the label and is already being supported by a string of mainstage artists.
Known and discovered as a huge talent from Kiev, the sound of Yaroslav Sagan is making some serious waves this year. His record ‘Boomers’ was one of the highlights of the ‘Generation HEX EP’ which featured new and upcoming artists, all discovered by Don Diablo himself.
Now Sagan returns on solo duty to Don’s label with ‘Happiness’. The track breathes his characteristic feelgood sound, presenting catchy hooks, excited pitched up vocals and a highly effective drop – it’s house music bound to get dance floors in a frenzy.
‘Happiness’ has already been receiving enthused support from Oliver Heldens, Avicii, A-Trak, Kaskade, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, R3hab, Jay Hardway and many others.
Sagan: “The track originates from a vocal that I found when digging through my old sample packs. I liked it, but it sounded a bit too old school for my taste so I pitched it up to give it a more fresh sound. To accompany the vocal I created a groovy instrumental with a bouncing bassline which resulted in ‘Happiness’. Don loved it right away and decided to release it as a single on his HEXAGON imprint.”
