Riding the high of knockout success, Schak follows up his smash hit, debut track Moving All Around (Jumpin’) with yet another hit in the making ‘Inferno’ ft. Scorccio via Ministry of Sound.

Since fellow North Shields native Patrick Topping first championed the single and signed it his TRICK label, Schak’s Moving All Around (Jumpin’) has seen career-defining success for the Newcastle based DJ-producer in less than a year. His first ever release and Danny Howard’s World’s Hottest Record broke the top 50, spent 12 weeks in the UK chart, and amassed over 1M Spotify streams in just 18 days. Now boasting over 13M Spotify streams and counting, the single saw widespread support across the industry from remixes from John Summit, Skream and Ben Nicky to explosive acclaim across BBC Radio 1 BBC Radio 1 MiniMix, KISS FM and more.

Spearheading his success by building a loyal army of fans on social media, Shack’s viral social stunts featuring DJ sets on public transport, flash mob performances, and the havoc unleashed by alter ego Nana Makina, earned a nomination for BBC Radio 1’s ‘Viral Moment Of The Year’, viral success on Japanese media and featuring on BBC’s Have I Got News For You. Greatly inspired by his Newcastle roots, his music channels the distinctly North East sound of music subculture Makina, an energetic blend of happy hardcore, scouse house, donk, and rapid-fire MC-ing that provides a cathartic outlet for ravers and invokes a deep sense of community that Schak continues to project in his artistry.

Continuing to hit major milestones, 2023 has been huge for Schak, from his recent Mixmag Lab stream that treated a ballistic crowd to his new single following widespread support on the club circuit to performing an official halftime set before the historic Newcastle United vs. Southampton game at the Carabao Cup in St James’ Park. Continuing his upward trajectory, the producer looks towards a summer of Ibiza dates alongside Patrick Topping and Calvin Harris in addition to performances at festivals like Creamfields, Nass, Hideout, and more.

Now Schak continues to embrace his roots with a fast-paced chunk of sugary dance joy. Sampling the late 90s original by DJ Souvlaki, who features on the track under his new Scorccio alias, ‘Inferno’ packs a punch with a riotous blend of nostalgic riffs, deliriously infectious hooks, and grooving basslines. A true tastemaker on the rise, Schak bolsters his signature unrelenting energy with a second release that is sure to top the charts and flood the dancefloors.

Schak – ‘Inferno’ ft. Scorccio is out 12th May via Ministry of Sound.
