Still revelling in the success of her recent single Pink feat. Jamal Bucanon, which earned multiple spins from BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, rising star Sensu gifts dance music with the hypnotic second single off her upcoming Numéro LDN EP – ‘Both Sides’ ft. Denyher.
Spending her time between London and her Swiss hometown, the inspiration of the urban atmospheres has allowed her to evolve musically, with her forthcoming Numéro LDN project out 10th June taking inspiration from the likes of PinkPantheress, Overmono, Bonobo, Disclosure, ta-ku, Flume, Mura Masa and more.
The full EP is set to showcase her multi-faceted approach that she has expanded on since emerging back in 2017, always perfectly weaving multiple genres and soundscapes which has seen her find fans in Preditah, Melle Brown and more recently BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, Jamz Supernova and Sian Eleri, Fred V on Kiss FM, Triple J, Reprezent Radio and many others.
Rapidly ascending the musical ladder with fascinating production skills and genre-bending soundscapes, Sensu has already collected Montreux Jazz’s ‘Artist Of The Month’ award in addition to a nomination for ‘Best Talent 2020’ at the Swiss Music Awards. The new project is highly anticipated, following her debut album Embrace via Universal with Listen ft. Otis Junior earning over 1M streams whilst also featuring the likes of Bassette, Ryler Smith, Ryck Jane and Benjamin Armaru.
Joining her on Both Sides, the second single from the project, talented East London dweller and Caribbean hailer Denyher creates melodic hooks with unparalleled MC abilities. Fresh off the release of a collaborative, Lauryn Hill-inspired album The Miseducation of the Insta Generation alongside fellow creatives SB, Mercy’s Cartel, and SAMSON, Denyher brings a bold and refreshing sound to Both Sides.
Citing her recent time spent in London as a major inspiration for the upcoming EP, Sensu channels the city’s cosmopolitan intrigue on Both Sides. A cool and captivating garage track that wouldn’t go amiss in headphones on a stroll parallel to the London Thames or blaring through the speakers at a club afterparty, Sensu’s squeaky clean production style paired with Denyher’s flow demonstrates her extraordinary technical prowess that is rapidly cementing her as a one to watch beyond her hometown.
Sensu – ‘Both Sides’ ft. Denyher is out on 11th May via AWAL.
