As one of the hidden gems holding it down for Eastern Europe, Shahay has started to shine through the veil of obscurity to catch the eyes of a number of tastemakers from across the house circuit.

The prodigious producer from Poland has been increasingly turning heads since kicking off the project in 2018, with his weighty cuts becoming an ace up the sleeve in the track lists for household names from the likes of Volac, Phlegmatic Dogs and AC Slater.

Wax Motif is stepping in as another early adopter, giving Shahay the highly sought-after Divided Souls stamp of approval with the release of his wicked bass house release, “Bounce.” The track earns its title straight off the block, coming in hot with a springy bassline that will trick your body into thinking it’s riding shotgun in a tricked-out lowrider. Shahay hits the switches perfectly on this heavy tune, which is fully loaded with punchy drums, stylish effects, sleek synth plucks, whistling car alarms, and enough trunk-rattling low-end to make heads do a double take when this banging record is cruising through the boulevard.

Shahay recently slid into the Insomniac Music Group family a little over a month ago, teaming up with emerging artist Event Horizon on the razor-sharp ripper “Beat Rider,” which brought its hefty basslines to IN / ROTATION’s most recent ‘Rotate’ compilation album. His next single falls perfectly in step with the direction Wax Motif has been taking his Divided Souls imprint, with the tune getting rinsed during the label-boss’ Park ‘N Rave concert series as the second selection in the Insomniac TV livestream set. It has also been making the rounds with plenty of other tastemakers in the scene, garnering early support from heavy-hitting acts from the likes of Diplo, Don Diablo, Afrojack, Moski and the list continues to grow. Keep your eyes peeled for more heat coming from the bass house phenom, because from the looks of it, Shahay is breaking out on the quickness. The hype surrounding “Bounce” should speak for itself.
