Multi-million selling producer, artist, and DJ Sigala will release his debut album Brighter Days on the 28th September via Ministry of Sound, the climax to his Summer of Sigala that was launched back in May in Ibiza.
Brighter Days will feature his six previous Top 10 singles, including Came For Here For Love featuring Ella Eyre, the number one radio airplay single, and fourth biggest airplay hit at radio this year, Lullaby featuring Paloma Faith, Give Me Your Love featuring John Newman and Nile Rodgers, and the number one, Jackson 5-sampling hit Easy Love.
Sigala recently reached the landmark of having one billion Spotify streams across his single releases, whilst latest release Just Got Paid with Ella Eyre and Meghan Trainor featuring French Montana also featured on Brighter Days surpassed 6.6 million Spotify streams within a week of being released. In total, he has had eight global Platinum singles, and eight global Gold singles whilst racking up over 575k UK radio plays since launching in July 2015.
Speaking of the album, Sigala says: I went away to Belgium in November for a month to this studio in the woods in the middle of nowhere. I think I saw about three people while I was there. I just saw it as an opportunity to experiment.
He admits that time away from the distractions of London presented him with a chance to shake the pressure of delivering singles to radio.
They’re songs that Im really proud of and Im really happy they’re able to see the light of day, he says. If I’d just kept releasing singles that would have never happened.
