Continuing his streak of poignant singles, Atlanta-based indie artist Silent Child returned to Monstercat today with his latest brooding bop, “Perfect.”
Arriving with the news of his anticipated EP release set for next month, the track sees Silent Child revisit themes of self-deprecation in his earworm lyricism. Bouncing acoustic and electric guitar plucks between robust percussive beats, he unapologetically embraces his insecurities through bittersweet songwriting.
Silent Child admits, “I’m just a paranoid optimist.”
Silent Child’s genre-less approach has led him to work with diverse acts like PatrickReza, CRÈME, and Arcando, fusing his electronic production stylings with hip-hop sensibilities and indie-pop instrumentals. Creatively influenced by his ADHD & Asperger’s, his range of eclectic styles are on full display in the forthcoming EP, with captivating visuals to complement.
