With over 170 million streams on Spotify, Norwegian producer SJUR is returning with his brand new single ‘Thinkin’ Bout’ ft. fast-rising UK singer and songwriter Caitlyn Scarlett.
With its catchy chorus and Middle East-inspired vibes, ‘Thinkin’ Bout’ demands attention with its driving bass riffs. “This is a whole new genre for me, characterized by deep bass notes that are pitched and repetitive. I really think that this track will stand out from my previous singles.” Explains SJUR.
The pair hit it off at a songwriting camp in Denmark last year, “She is amazing, both as a singer and a songwriter! We always get great results from our sessions together.” SJUR said speaking about Caitlyn. After creating a rough demo together that they both loved, Caitlyn flew to SJUR’s hometown of Bergen to finish the single.
Caitlyn said: “I have been coming to Copenhagen a lot and working with SJUR has been great! He has to be one of my favourite people to collaborate with and I’m so excited with how the song has turned out.”
Since signing a publishing deal with BMG in 2017, Caitlyn Scarlett has been in high demand for her writing skills. Roc Nation requested her to join the Rihanna writing camp that took place in London, where she worked with the likes of DJ Dahi (Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean), MelO x (Beyoncé) and Levi Lennox (M.I.A, Zayn Malik).
Hailing from a small town on the west coast of Norway, SJUR has seen great success with over 170 million streams on Spotify. His cover of ‘Let Me Love You’ by Mario has gained over 100 million streams on Spotify alone, and entered the charts in Norway, Canada, Finland, Denmark, Holland, and Sweden.
After a busy summer of travelling to gigs and festivals, SJUR is now back in the studio creating more music with new exciting collaborations.
