Miley Cyrus Announces “Something Beautiful” Album
Miley Cyrus is back with a brand-new album, Something Beautiful, set to release on May 30. The highly anticipated project marks her ninth studio album and follows the massive success of Endless Summer Vacation.
Although details remain under wraps, Cyrus confirmed that the album will feature 13 original songs and is executive-produced by herself and Shawn Everett, known for his work with Kacey Musgraves and Alabama Shakes. Fans also got a first look at the album cover, which features Cyrus wearing a stunning archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture piece, photographed by Glen Luchford.

The Copyright Lawsuit Over Flowers
Despite its success, Flowers has also been at the center of legal drama. In September 2024, Tempo Music Investments filed a lawsuit against Cyrus, claiming that Flowers copied elements of Bruno Mars’ When I Was Your Man.
Tempo, which owns the catalog rights of When I Was Your Man co-writer Philip Lawrence, alleges that Cyrus’ song borrows too heavily from the 2013 hit. Last week, a judge denied Cyrus’ request to dismiss the lawsuit, meaning the case is moving forward.
For now, Cyrus remains focused on her new era, but the lawsuit could become a major talking point as Something Beautiful rolls out.
