Australian DJ and producer Sonny Fodera has unveiled his new two-track production, ‘THE REAL EP’ working with long time friends and collaborators, Mat.Joe.
The release, out 18th August, is on Sonny’s own AARRIVAL label, and features ‘The Real’ and ‘Get Away’, marking Sonny and Mat.Joe’s first collaboration since their Beatport No.1 selling remix of ‘Gershon Jackson’ on Strictly Rhythm – which stayed in the charts for well over a year.
Opening up with ‘The Real’, the track takes on a rolling tech groove, layered with intricately chopped vocal samples leading to a huge drop in typical Sonny Fodera style. Joined by ‘Get Away’ on the EP, this track offers a stark contrast, giving things a more house-based feel, with trademark swinging drums and a tight vocal hook.
