Superstar DJ/ Record Producer/Record Label Owner Steve Aoki will be getting his highly teased and premiered remix of Armin van Buuren and Tempo Giusto’s “Navigator” released.
Trance legend Armin van Buuren announced the release on his Instagram handle.
“Navigator” has been a big record for Armin this year. This track has had a very great remix follow up so far. I_o’s heavy techno and Sevenn’s Brazilian Bass remixes surely made a statement on all the big festivals that followed their release.
In the end of January, Steve Aoki made an Instagram story video in his “Neon Future Cave” to declare that he will be remixing Trance legend’s very own Tech Trance venture and gave the fans a good chunk of the track as a “Sneak Peak”.
The remix clearly sounds like a well-made Hybrid between Modern day Psy Trance and Old School Acid Trance but, with a mainstage sound. This is clearly not the sound of the artist, but after seeing Calvin Harris make classic rave music and Afrojack make Tech House, it should not be surprising to see Steve Aoki make an Acid Trance record.
The name of this remix is very interesting. The remix is titled “Steve Aoki’s ‘I am the Captain Now’ Remix” which is quite the throwback to the early 2000’s and the late 90’s when artists named their remixes in a clever fashion without any regard for marketability and often conveyed a humorous message through it.
We would love to be the first ones to let you know when this gem hits the shelves. Stay tuned to the page for more news.
