NYC / Tulum-based DJ & producer Kahani returns to the release radar with his official remix of Eastern electronica pioneers Tech Panda & Kenzani’s massively successful 2020 collaboration, “Khoyo”.
Kahani’s spectacular take on the heady classic teases the next event in his Indo Warehouse event series, Indo Warehouse: Tech Panda x Kenzani, taking place this Saturday, June 11th at Chelsea Music Hall.
Kahani is on a mission to turn his culture and passion for the underground into a movement. The rising NYC / Tulum-based DJ and producer has been working overtime to bring his label and concept Indo Warehouse to the forefront of the new wave of dance music. His signature blend of South Asian vocals and hard-hitting organic house is prominent in his original productions, “Babala,” “Sawali,” and, most recently, the hypnotic “Ranjha,” and takes center stage in his rapidly-growing Indo Warehouse event series.
Following the widely-successful, second installment of Indo Warehouse last month, Kahani has invited two pioneers of the Eastern electronica sound, Tech Panda & Kenzani, for their highly anticipated debut U.S. show, marking the first time Kahani hands over the spotlight in his experiential series.
Building anticipation for the event, Kahani’s rework of “Khoyo” is out now via his Indo Warehouse imprint. Kicking off with a strong and infiltrating rhythm, the rework transports listeners to a seductive sonic sphere rife with intricate instrumentation and textures.
Transforming the original South Asian folk song into a thumping, floor-primed slice of organic house, the heady remix ups the ante with Kahani’s signature flair.
