Astralwerks releases The Chemical Brothers’ ninth studio album, No Geography.
The British duo will kick off the 2019 leg of their world tour in support of No Geography with a headline performance at the Corona Festival in Guadalajara, MX on May 11. Yesterday, they announced a major addition to the run: an August 1 concert at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, which will mark The Chemical Brothers’ first New York City headline show since 2007 and the only U.S. East Coast date of the tour. A ticket pre-sale for fan club members will launch on Tuesday, April 16, at 10:00 AM ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public next Friday, April 19, at 11:00 AM ET. Limited tickets remain for the two Los Angeles dates – May 15 at Shrine Expo Hall and May 16 at the Greek Theatre – and their May 17 show at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. See below for itinerary and tickets.
No Geography follows The Chemical Brothers’ GRAMMY®-nominated 2015 album, Born In the Echoes, which Pitchfork praised as “some of the best pure pop songs Rowlands and Simons have ever made.” The duo has sold more than 12 million albums and six million singles worldwide. They have had six No. 1 albums in the U.K. and were the first electronic act ever to receive a GRAMMY®, winning in the Best Rock Instrumental Performance category for “Block-Rockin’ Beats” – the first of their four GRAMMY wins.
