Tisoki pulls up with his thunderstricken sophomore single for Bassrush Records arriving in the form of “NOHO,” with emerging rapper Bansaint handling vocal duties.

It’s been a minute since the UK-bred producer Tisoki dropped some heat for the Bassrush crew (a little more than four years, in case anyone is counting). In 2018, he flexed his death grip alongside Half Empty on his label debut “Hold On,” a wonky collaboration that fused fast-paced piano play with a growling dubstep groove. The Los Angeles transplant is about to pop off once again as comes through with his long-awaited follow-up appearance.

“NOHO” is a rap-fueled single that keeps its priorities in check. Taking cues from the South London hip-hop scene, the track creeps its way overhead through rolling thunder samples and a foreboding melody.

Once the trap drums hit, Bansaint proceeds to capitalize on the ominous beat with his money-minded flow. Every unhinged syllable feels cold and calculated, burning through bars that would rather count up his bands than letting the dating game get in the way of his wealth. Tisoki stacks up his own chips alongside the hostile flow by weaving through guttural post-dubstep phrases that land right on the money.

Tisoki speaks his mind on how the single came together: “‘NOHO’ started as a hip-hop track, but when I revisited it, I decided to turn it into more a UK drill inspired beat. Hearing the new swing of the drums over the verses led me to make a drop and take it in a completely new direction.I had heard of Bansaint through my friend beastboi, and thought he’d be a perfect fit for this weird drill / rap / neuro bass / dubstep banger.”

Moving from London to Los Angeles, Tisoki has become a blessing for the bass scene on this side of the pond. His prolific discography has risen above the limitations within genres, having drum & bass, trap, dubstep and bassline, all while staying true to the nature of his envelope-pushing sound.

After dropping his first album last year, ‘01953,’ an homage to his UK background, Tisoki shifted seamlessly through old-school dubstep, grime and hints of garage. His latest offering is the optimal warmup for his imminent performance at Nocturnal Wonderland in SoCal next weekend. Tisoki is scheduled to throw down a stellar b2b set with dubstep phenom MUST DIE!, guaranteed to be one of the most unforgettable moments from the upcoming camping festival.

Bansaint is a rapper and producer located in North Carolina. In a year’s time, he’s already blown through three full-length albums, starting with last year’s ‘fuchsia” before hammering out back-to-back LPs, ‘HENTAI HOES Vol. 2’ and ‘43VR25,’ which dropped at the end of August.

Bringing his raw talent to the table with his new collab with Tisoki, the rapper has made it clear that his prowess on the mic translates perfectly over to the bass scene.

Tisoki’s new single “NOHO,” featuring Bansaint, is available on all platforms via Bassrush Records.
