The anticipation “levels” are rising as the date for the release of TIM, the posthumous album by Avicii which was completed by his collaborators after his passing nears.

The album is set to drop on June 6 and his team has been slowly releasing tracks which have only been raising the excitement and making each one of us miss the young legend more than ever.

Months after his death, it was announced that Avicii had been working on the album which was near completion. His team and family collectively decided to bring on the collaborators enlisted to help finish the work. All profits from sales of the album will go towards the Tim Bergling Foundation, set up following Avicii’s suicide, for mental health awareness by his family.

“SOS” was in collaboration with his longtime friend and collaborator Aloe Blacc and played out as the first and lead single off the album. The lyrics of the touching track hit home harder than ever after his passing and make us wish someone had heard his call for help in time.

The second single from the album just dropped yesterday and is titled “Tough Love.” In its own unique way, the track has heavy Indian musical elements based on his study of music in northwestern parts of India.

Teaming with collaborators from his past hits, he worked with Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir, who he also worked with on tracks like “Silhouettes”, “Hey Brother”, and “Without You”.

In what might be the last of any new Avicii music we hear, the impressive album sees collaborators like Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Imagine Dragons among others. We also see him fall back on longtime collaborators like Aloe Blacc, Vargas & Lagola, as well as Joe Janiak, Arizona and a mysterious collaborator left as ID for now.
