Two Russian acts – Dropgun and Aspyer, join forces on scorching collaborative track


Cementing Russia’s status as a heavyweight player in the dance music scene, here’s a Summery collaboration from two homegrown acts, Dropgun & Aspyer. Next To Me is out now on Tiësto’s label, Musical Freedom.

Perfectly fusing together pop sensibilities with the edginess of future bass, Next To Me has that staying power, sure to score highly with tastemaker DJs and fans alike. Its cool, minimal guitars, dramatic drop and captivating vocals from Romy Dya guarantees this track as a summer anthem.

Dropgun & Aspyer explain: “Next To Me is our new Pop/Future Bass banger. We wanted to make the track that harmoniously balancing between POP and EDM. It wouldn’t be possible to do this without a powerful drop and a memorable melody. We spent a very long time looking for emotional vocals, until we were lucky to meet Romy Dya, that’s exactly what we wanted to hear, her voice really revealed the potential of the track.”

Dropgun are no strangers to collaborating on big tracks, with their breakthrough hit Pyramids with DVBBS reaching #1 on Beatport and gaining over 30 million streams. Known as ones to watch in Russia’s ever-growing dance world, Dropgun have received he backing from The Chainsmokers, Avicii, Martin Garrix and Hardwell to name a few. So, this collab with multi-instrumentalist/producer Aspyer from St. Petersburg – who has previously worked with Matisse & Sadko, NLW (Afrojack) and KIIDA – is definitely an exciting move for these breakthrough acts.
