TyC comes from a diverse background of genres and first established himself as a member of the band Carousel.
After leaving Berklee to go on tour, he’s spent years honing his craft as both a songwriter and a producer. He has spent 2016 shadow producing and working with a network of artists signed with different labels, and is finally ready to release his debut project as a solo artist. The EP will be feature Joselyn Rivera, Sonny Step, REN, and more!
To give us the first glimpse of the project, TyC is now revealing a new cut from the project titled “Get To Know Ya.” Acting as the culmination of TyC’s diverse experience in the music industry, the multi-instrumentalist combines his unique pop sensibilities with a fresh electronic aesthetic. He wrote the song in New York before moving to LA, and features his good friend from Berklee who is going by the surname, Nerose. Overtop the drop, he employs vocoder laden overdubs in conversation with hi-fi tribal sounds that captures his unique take on the modern pop sound! The record is writter, recorded, produced and mixed solely by TyC.
