Linkin Park’s “From Zero World Tour” has sparked an online debate, with many of their fans arguing that it is their greatest tour since they became active in the music industry in 1996.
Unarguably, it’s clear that one of the determining factors to “From Zero World Tour” being classified as their best tour is the collection of songs that make up the setlist.
The setlist of “From Zero World Tour” pools songs from all of Linkin Park’s albums, which are a total of eight, including the “From Zero” album released in 2024. This makes it more of an “Eras Tour” since they’re revising their eras, the same way Taylor Swift did it during her “Eras Tour” that rocked Europe last year.
Linkin Park had visited Europe in 2024 when they started their 12th career tour, “From Zero World Tour.” However, they’ll be back again this year to entertain their fans beginning in June at the Panonia Fields located in Nickelsdorf, Austria. This means you have an opportunity to meet them soon, especially if you missed them the first time in 2024.
One of the things we observed with Linkin Park’s decision to involve all their albums in the setlist of “From Zero World Tour” is that they only picked fan favourites from the individual albums to make the setlist. You might be wondering how we knew this. Well, if you look at the individual songs and the album they come from and consider their performance on charts, which we intend to do as this article progresses, you’ll see how we came about this.
Before we get into it, one of the challenges that fans have complained about Linkin Park’s concerts is their inability to secure tickets on time due to traffic, resulting in them forfeiting meeting Linkin Park. This was the case during Linkin Park’s previous visits to Europe, which made a lot of their fans miss them.
However, before their return to European stages this June, you can explore a secondary ticket marketplace for Linkin Park tickets. At least, you can easily bypass the traffic this time and ensure you don’t miss the fun when they come for their 2nd leg.
How Linkin Park Created The Perfect Setlist From Their Albums
Linkin Park went the extra mile with the creation of their setlist amidst “From Zero World Tour,” an attempt to entertain their fans with a list that’s made up of their favourites. The process of identifying which song is a fan favourite was an entertaining one, although it wasn’t without its struggles. Regardless, we’re happy to share this with you.
“Hybrid Theory” – 2000
“Hybrid Theory” was Linkin Park’s debut album when they became active in the music industry. It came out in October 2000, after the band worked on it between March and July of the same year. As one of their early works, the album contributed to the setlist of “From Zero World Tour” with five tracks. The individual tracks and their positions on European charts are listed below.
- “Crawling:” No. 2 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
- “One Step Closer:” No. 3 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
- “Papercut:” No. 1 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
- “A Place for My Head:” No. 10 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
- “In the End:” No. 1 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
Through our research, we discovered that all the songs that were selected from “Hybrid Theory,” which was Linkin Park’s debut album, were all among the top ten when released in 2000. Somehow, probably based on how Linkin Park sustained the songs through their performances, they’ve managed to remain fan favourites to date. Evidently, their position on the setlist of “From Zero World Tour” is indisputable.
“Meteora” – 2003
After three years after releasing “Hybrid Theory,” Linkin Park released “Meteora” as their second studio album. The album went on to outperform their debut album by quickly peaking at No.1 on various charts, including the UK Albums (OCC) and UK Rock & Metal Albums (OCC). The album contributed to the setlist of “From Zero World Tour” with three songs, which are reviewed below.
- “Somewhere I Belong:” No.1 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
- “Numb:” No. 1 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
- “Faint:” No. 3 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
The release of “Meteora” added more fame to Linkin Park’s career. We know because we struggled a bit to narrow the list of fan favourites. Even though the album contributed three songs to the setlist of “From Zero World Tour,” they are solid fan favourites, and their position on the charts justifies that.
“Minutes to Midnight” – 2007
“Minutes to Midnight” is spectacular in the sense that it marked the beginning of Linkin Park’s shift from their known genre, which was nu-metal at that time. Their third album was initially assumed to suffer on the music market since they were making a change, and a pretty big one for that matter. However, it maintained dominance on European charts and even became certified platinum twice in the UK. The album contributed just one track to the setlist of “From Zero World Tour,” and it is listed below.
- “What I’ve Done:” No. 1 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
“What I’ve Done” is one of the greatest hits by Linkin Park. It performed so well when it was released that it became certified platinum twice in the UK after selling over 1.2 million units, even more than the album sold when it was released. Overall, “Minutes to Midnight” performed well as Linkin Park’s third album and no surprise that “What I’ve Done” is one of the fan’s favourites from the album.
“A Thousand Suns” – 2010
Sitting proudly as Linkin Park’s fourth career album is “A Thousand Suns,” which was released in 2010. The album’s performance on European charts was said to be influenced by Linkin Park’s trail of good records, but we doubt it since the album is a goat of its own. It contributed to the setlist of “From Zero World Tour” with four songs, which are listed below.
- “The Catalyst:” No. 1 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
- “Waiting for the End:” No. 3 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
- “When They Come for Me:” No. 10 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
- “Empty Spaces:” No. 10 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
One single we would have loved to have an in-depth discussion on is “The Catalyst.” It was released as the No. 14th track on Linkin Park’s fourth career album; however, it outshined most of the singles on the album, becoming fans’ favourites.
“Living Things” – 2012
Linkin Park experimented with “Living Things.” According to the band, they combined their four previous albums in the making of the album to create a new sound that their fans have never heard. The result is a twelve-track album with amazing recordings. Most of them are fan favourites, but not as much as these two with amazing charting as seen below.
- “Burn It Down:” No. 1 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
- “Castle of Glass:” No. 17 – UK Rock & Metal (OCC)
“Living Things” came out great as Linkin Park’s fifth career album, even though it was experimental. Its performance on charts was great to begin with, so it wasn’t surprising when the tracks picked up momentum as well. We observed that there are a lot of fan favourites on the “Living Things” album, but only these two officially made it to the setlist of “From Zero World Tour.” Anticipate part two.
