After a brief hiatus, Xilent returns to the Monstercat label with an incredible dubstep track! After his previous single “You Rise” which was a big success, he has now released “The Darkness”.
A raw and dark bassline leads one into the track, while helping the DJ hold a good hold on the crowd. As if that wasn’t enough, melodic elements merge with airy vocals to create a magical effect, before the track ventures into a phase of high intensity. The drop simply takes you off guard, and ensures that you head-bang in full flow! The same intensity continues until the end, making the track a really addictive one!
At just under two years since his debut Dubstep release ‘Choose Me II’ marked the arrival of serious new talent, Xilent has quickly become one of the most talked about names in bass culture. With such a landmark release, a follow up was always going to difficult, however with his 2012 releases ‘Touch Sound EP’ and ‘Ultrafunk EP’creating waves of new fans across dance floors, online and radio alike, Xilent not only matched, but surpassed the success of ‘Choose Me II’ with Zane Lowe making ‘Beyond’ his ‘Hottest Record In The World’ and ‘Do It’ receiving Xilent’s first Radio 1 daytime spins from Fearne Cotton.
With a lot of support from the likes of Annie Mac, Mistajam, Crissy Criss, and more, the artist has risen quite phenomenally in a really short span of time!
