Hear Me Out

2018 is proving to be quite a year so far for Finnish DJ/Producer, Yotto. Starting the year by contributing to the prestigious ‘BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix’ back in January, and recently announcing his forthcoming album ‘Hyperfall’, set to drop in September. Leading up to this milestone, Yotto presents his next single, Hear Me Out.

Drawing inspiration from his childhood favorites The Chemical Brothers and Röyksopp, along with more contemporary influences ranging from Eric Prydz to M83 and Jon Hopkins. The signature Yotto sound blends dark, brooding atmospheres with light, uplifting melodies; hitting the sweet spot between melancholy and euphoria. This is certainly true with ‘Hear Me Out’. Tension builds throughout with an insistent groove layered over classic melodies, before rising into a dramatic vocal crescendo from Laudic.

”Hear Me Out is a big, dramatic record that I made with my good friends Sønin and Laudic. We usually just talk absolute nonsense and laugh at memes in the studio. That’s why I’m a bit confused how we ended up making such a melancholic record. I like it a lot though.” Yotto

Since his debut on Anjunadeep back in 2015, Yotto has only continued to rise through the ranks, gaining recognition from industry tastemakers far and wide. With plays from Pete Tong and Annie Mac and no fewer than five ‘Essential New Tunes’ and three ‘Hottest Records In The World’ under his belt, it is plain to see the raw talent present in Yotto’s production. Further DJ support from the likes of Solomun, Jamie Jones, Patrice Bäumel, Eric Prydz, Adriatique and Joris Voorn, clarifying his position as a maker of serious dance floor heaters.
