Avicii Tribute Concert To Promote Mental Health Awareness To Be Live Streamed Worldwide

Time has passed but, the legacy of Avicii’s music has been kept alive and thriving but his friends, colleagues, and collaborators.

Later this week, on December 5, 2019, the Avicii Tribute Concert for Mental Health Awareness will take place at the Friends Arena in his hometown of Stockholm. The show which sold out in record time is set to have a number of his fellow industry peers and collaborators perform. The 55,000 seat arena sold out in under 30 minutes!

More than 19 singer/songwriters who Avicii collaborated with over time will be coming together with a massive 30-piece live band to perform as part of this Tribute concert. From Adam Lambert to Rita Ora and Aloe Blacc to Otto Knows, a lot of these songs will be performed live in any form for the very first time.

Opening sets for the event will be played by heavyweights and more so his friends from the industry, David Guetta, Kygo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Laidback Luke, and Nicky Romero. The highlight of the night, however, will be the headlining performance of 2-hours as the live band performs with the plethora of singers whose vocals have been featured on his tracks over the years.

For all those unable to attend, there is finally some good news. Part of the event will be streamed globally. All of the late producer’s social media handles including YouTube, Facebook and Instagram will be among the many other radio and television outlets streaming the show. The headlining set will be streamed from 9.00 – 11.15 pm CET (1.30 – 3.34 am IST) while the opening DJ sets will be left out from the live stream.

The Time Bergling Foundation will donate all net proceeds from the show to support mental health and suicide prevention among the youth. Addressing the media with regards to the event, Klas Bergling, Avicii’s father said,
“We are grateful that [Avicii’s] friends, producers, artists, and colleagues are coming to Stockholm to help. They have all expressed a sincere interest and desire to engage in efforts to stem the tide of mental illness and lend their support to our work with the Tim Bergling Foundation. We are very much looking forward to this evening, which will be a starting point for the foundation’s work going forward.”
