We recently spoke about Avicii’s death and how it led to a lot of DJ’s talking about their mental health struggles!
Well, we all know that Avicii had, had enough, and he loved what he did, but, did not like the attention that came with it. Now, ’Avicii: True Stories’ which is a documentary which emphasizes all the aspects that led to Avicii’s death, will be showcasing on Netflix on December 28th, 2018.
If you love Avicii as we do, then you already know, this documentary is going to be heartbreaking, as Avicii is eerily predicting his own death. This documentary brings alive the chilling facts that confirm the alleged fact i.e. Avicii killed himself. You will also see Avicii’s journey through 813 shows as well as all the events that lead him to perform at his last event in Ibiza in August 2016, after which he completely retired.
Let’s understand why this documentary is anticipated by many. Five years of touring and 813 shows led Avicii to say ‘I have said, like, I am going to die. I have said is so many times. And so I don’t want to hear that I should entertain the thought of doing another gig.’
One can only imagine the pressures Avicii faced that led him to finally call it quits and be far away from something he is so amazing at, and David Guetta definitely agrees with that, as when he heard levels by Avicii all he said was ‘Oh my God, this is so amazing.’
So what happened to Tim and how did he finally reach a point, where it was too much?
For Avicii, it was always about creating great music and he always felt like this is what he was born to do. Yet, he had finally reached a point, where he believed that people know Avicii, but they do not know who Tim Bergling is and he did not like the attention. Shot by acclaimed director Levan Tsikurishvili between 2012 and 2016, this documentary will show Avicii in his true skin i.e. as Tim Bergling, who shares his fears, his fight with anxiety, his pressures and his discomfort with the spotlight.
The film has definitely succumbed to controversy given that it ends on a happy note. But, Levan admits that the end is ‘chillingly false.’’
We can’t wait to see our Tim in his true self, no matter the heartbreak, he will always be amazing for all of us. On that note, do tell us below which is your favorite Avicii track!
