David Guetta has tapped on his pop roots once again and teamed up with Bebe Rexha, TY Dolla $ign and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie on his latest single that released yesterday, ‘Family.’
With the hook line going “I don’t got friends, I got family. At the end of the day that’s all I need,” the theme of the song hasn’t left much to be figured out. With all three vocalists, singing the chorus one stanza after another, the song pays tribute to those long time and deep friendships which have evolved into more of a family bond.
Speaking at a press conference about the track, Rexha said, “Family is everything to me. Sometimes you find friends that become your family, and that is what this song is about. Sharing this experience with David Guetta, Ty Dolla $ign, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie made it even more special.”
While Guetta hasn’t released a full length since he released 7, in 2018 which features Nicki Minaj, J Balvin, Saweetie and more, he has been consistent with singles and collaborations galore.
