Last week was a big week for Scottish DJ Calvin Harris as he broke into the top 60 wealthiest in Scotland and also announced his upcoming star-studded album, ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1’ featuring the likes of Katy Perry, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Future, Ariana Grande, Pharrell Williams and many more. Never have we seen so many celebrity collaborations in one album.
Following this announcement, Deadmau5 took to Twitter to express his concerns over this album. Joel explains that collaborations should be done with an artist-to-artist view and not be focused on just grabbing radio space.
What do you think about Deadmau5’ argument? Scroll below to read what he exactly had to say:
anyone ever remember when calvin harris was just… calvin harris? who the fuck are all these other people? like… why?

nothing new here. just your typical sellout rant about people who obviously know how to pander shit for the sake of capitalism. moving on.

@TheBinaryLion @CalvinHarris I don't need handouts nor do I feel the need to cling onto people with commercial success to make me feel like I'm better at what I do.

@Damylion whos throwing shade? it's my opinion that i like it when people work on their own shit. that's not shade. pull your panties back up.

Deadmu5 is clearly not happy with this album. Let us know what you think below. Apart from all the rants, we have bigger news for you. Calvin Harris is all set to drop his collaboration with Future & Khalid tomorrow.
