The mammoth language learning App Duolingo is apparently now said to be venturing into the music space.

As reported by TechCrunch, the Pittsburgh- based tech company which has over 500-million users now has a small team working on a music product and has a job posting for a learning scientist who is an “expert in music education who combines both theoretical knowledge of relevant learning science research and hands-on teaching experience.”

While this and an additional job posting seeking a freelance music composition and curricular consultant to work on a cross functional team looking for individuals “motivated by this type of environment and excited to help us deliver the very best in music education.”

While Duolingo has expanded over the years with Duolingo ABC for young kids between 3-6 years of age and Duolingo Math which was one of the App’s first non language additions. Keeping with the current focus on AI, they also introduced Duolingo Max, a subscription tier that gives users access to their own personal AI-powered language tutor.

There have been no official announcements about the company’s foray into Music learning or what that will entail, but the job postings are a clear sign of something being in the works.
