The way we get our music has completely changed over time. From records to cassette tapes to compact disks to online downloads to online streaming, the music industry has come a long way.
Elon Musk has always been ahead of time and has been seen working on products for the future. This time the genius billionaire is poised to take on Apple Music and Spotify with his new music streaming service. According to sources, Tesla is in talks with major record labels regarding licensing deals for its expected music streaming service. However, there’s not further information regarding the game changing nature of this service.
“We believe it’s important to have an exceptional in-car experience so our customers can listen to the music they want from whatever source they choose,” a Tesla spokesperson said. “Our goal is to simply achieve maximum happiness for our customers.”
Currently, Spotify with 50 million paying subscribers and Apple with about 27 million paying subscribers are the market leaders. We’ll have to wait and watch how Tesla plans to take on the big 2 players of the music streaming service!
