During an appearance on The Pivot podcast, hosted by Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder, Tiafoe recalled an unforgettable encounter with Taylor Swift. “I’ve said it in real time to whoever I’m with, like, ‘Yo, I’m out here taking shots with Taylor Swift,’” the 26-year-old tennis star shared.

Despite being a self-professed Beyoncé fan, Tiafoe couldn’t help but acknowledge the magnitude of meeting Swift. “At the moment, I’m like, man, this is crazy. She’s the biggest star out here,” he said. Although details of the occasion were sparse, Tiafoe’s excitement was clear.

Tiafoe also recounted how Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes rolled out the red carpet for him. “They were like, ‘Yo, we gotta have you in [Kansas City],’” he said. “Them saying that is wild to me, and then they rolled out the red carpet for me.”

The tennis star didn’t specify the timing of these meetings but emphasized how humbling it was to be welcomed by such high-profile figures outside the tennis world. “It’s crazy because playing tennis and being able to reach that many people, and people want to meet me and hang out—it’s why you do what you do,” he added.
