Lil Baby’s WHAM Album: No. 1 and a Hot 100 Milestone

Lil Baby, the rap sensation under Quality Control Music/Motown, kicks off 2025 in spectacular style as his latest album WHAM debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Breaking New Ground on the Hot 100

The release of WHAM also catapulted Lil Baby into the record books. With 12 tracks from the album debuting on the Billboard Hot 100, including the viral hit “Dum, Dumb and Dumber” featuring Young Thug and Future at No. 16, Lil Baby became the sixth artist in history to achieve 150 entries on the Hot 100. He joins an elite group that includes Drake, Taylor Swift, Future, Lil Wayne, and Ye.

WHAM: A Global Sensation

The highly anticipated album debuted at No. 1 on Apple Music in over 50 countries and quickly became a fan favorite. The original edition features 15 tracks with collaborations from stars like Young Thug, Future, Travis Scott, and GloRilla. Responding to the strong demand, Lil Baby released an Extended Version with four additional tracks, now available across all streaming platforms.

Standout tracks like “Dum, Dumb and Dumber” dominated Apple Music charts, reaching No. 1 on the U.S. and Global charts, while “By Myself,” featuring Rod Wave and Rylo Rodriguez, amassed over 2.5 million views on its official music video.

Celebrating Success with Style

Lil Baby celebrated the release of WHAM with a series of high-profile events. His hometown of Atlanta hosted a mesmerizing drone show in honor of the album. The rapper also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, performed a surprise concert at Irving Plaza in New York, and hosted star-studded release parties in Atlanta, Miami, and New York. Celebrities like Future, 21 Savage, and Hunxho were among the attendees.

Legacy of My Turn and Future Prospects

As WHAM climbs the charts, Lil Baby’s previous album My Turn continues to solidify its legacy. Named the No. 1 pure hip-hop album and No. 8 across all genres for the first 25 years of the 21st century, My Turn was the most-consumed album of 2020, racking up over 3.9 billion streams in the U.S. alone.
