In a very sad piece of news, Erick Morillo has died aged 49.
As reported by TMZ, law enforcement sources cited that the DJ and music producer’s body was found this morning in Miami Beach … the circumstances surrounding his death are currently unclear.
This news comes on the back of Erick being arrested and charged with sexual battery on a woman.
According to the local news report, the incident was alleged to have taken place at his residence in Miami Beach in December.
From the start of the investigation, Erick Morillo actively denied accusations thrown towards him. However, he turned himself into the local authorities after the results from the rape kit tested positive for his DNA.
Police officials have stated that both Morillo and the accuser were both working as DJs at the private event held on Star Island.
