For the second year in a row, indie label Soave Records teams up with Generator Amsterdam for a packed ADE program.
Here’s the full rundown of what you can expect.
Soave Academy
“Connecting the industry” was Soave’s main goal when setting up their own series of workshops and panels in 2022. Now, two years later, it changed into their very own 2-day conference hosted at Generator Amsterdam: Soave Academy. From music production masterclasses to panels about marketing your music through TikTok. The topics are interesting for every type of industry professional. This year, Soave managed to assemble an impressive line-up of speakers. Bjorn Hato, who has millions of views on his TikTok and Instagram Reels videos reacting to electronic dance music, shares his own experience on using this reach to grow his own artist brand. Alex Montoya from Analog-A agency, represents artists like Carl Cox and Lily Palmer, and tells you what it takes to get signed to an agency like his. Scandinavian producers and DJs Braaheim and ILYAA, who have over 7 millions monthly listeners on Spotify combined, explain the technique behind some of their most successful songs during an exclusive masterclass. A total of 24 speakers will share their insights and meet attendees for a drink and talk during the network event afterwards on Thursday October 17. Soave Academy takes place on both Thursday October 17 and Friday October 18 this year.
Soave presents Soundwaves
While ADE is a business event, partying is at least half of it. Especially in this industry, organisations present at ADE simply have to throw a good party. Soave must have felt the same and booked Generator’s underground club Oosterbar for their very first Soave presents Soundwaves event. After successful events in Rome and Berlin, Amsterdam is nothing but a great next step. During this edition, the line-up consists of interesting b2b sets. Canadian-Swedish rapper Max Wassen kicks off the night together with DJ Skillz, an interesting collaboration merging hip hop with electronic dance music. Next up are De Hofnar b2b Kav Verhouzer, the main faces of Soave’s sublabel Sandcastle and familiar faces in the Dutch dance scene. They’re followed up by “Pedro’s” Jaxomy who hits the stage with MITCH DB that’s gonna be nothing less than pure dance music energy. Braaheim b2b ILYAA close down the night with a foot stomping techno set. An allround line-up showcasing the versatility of Soave Records’ roster.
Demo Drop
For many attendees, ADE is about connecting with the right industry pros. If you’re a producer wanting to, demo drops are the perfect way to meet label representatives as well as receive immediate feedback on your demos. Soave Records is hosting their own demo drop at Generator Amsterdam on Saturday October 19th from noon until 5 PM. Besides meeting the A&R reps of Soave and their sub-labels, Loudkult, Sekora, Chapter Eight, Dancing Dead and Den Haku will also be present. So, assemble your best demos and set foot to Generator as it could be the start of a fruitful collaboration between you and these interesting labels.
Kavetaria Life
Dutch producer and DJ Kav Verhouzer found his groove on TikTok with a format called Kavetaria Life, referring to the Dutch snackbars (also called a “cafetaria”) he visits, orders a stir-fried snack and rate the meal like he’s a top food critic. The funny format reaches hundreds of thousands views on each video. More than enough reason for Kav Verhouzer to host his own pop-up event at snackbar De Prins in the heart of Amsterdam on Saturday October 19th from 3 to 5 PM. So, if you’re craving a fried hangover breakfast during ADE’s final days, this is the place to be.
From Wednesday October 16 until Saturday October 19, Soave Records’ DJs will perform exclusive sets in the Nescio Café, Generator Amsterdam’s public bar. The perfect soundtrack for yet an interesting and allround program from the indie feel-good dance music label. Interested in joining?
