The industry was shaken by the loss of another young and talented artist gone too soon when news broke of i_o’s passing earlier this week.
Having worked with numerous collaborators and with releases across a number of noteworthy labels, grieving posts in his memory have been pouring in across social media.
From deadmau5 who he worked with as a mainstay on mau5trap, to Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats imprint and from Jauz to Sullivan King whom he shared a close friendship with, the sentiment of talent gone way too soon was echoed loud and clear.
May you rest in power i_o, and find peace where you are now.
Going to miss you my dude, it was a real pleasure working with you and watching you succeed… may you find rest, and let your music live on into eternity. pic.twitter.com/wwKh0prn1q

Today I lost my fucking brother. My best friend. The person who I trusted more than anyone when it came to music.
Today the world lost an incredible human being and one of the most visionary, genius producers of our generation.
We love you so much. RIP Garett Falls Lockhart

Without Garett there is no The Wise And The Wicked. He sat by me for the entirety of the production of that album and gave me the guidance and direction no one else could have. That album is as much his as it is mine. I’m forever in his debt

Garrett was unlike anyone I’d ever met. Honest and raw. Cynical and whimsical all in one. All year we worked on music and it got me thru. Prolific as hell, talent thru the roof. Every time I look at the clock and it’s 4:44 I’ll think of you.
444 forever. @i_oofficial pic.twitter.com/xWRL35oWrm— Lights (@lights) November 25, 2020
