Taylor Swift is gearing up for the 2025 Grammy Awards this Sunday at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where she’s up for six awards but Travis Kelce won’t be attending.
Kelce’s Focus: Super Bowl LIX
It’s not that Kelce doesn’t want to be there, but the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is locked in on the Super Bowl. With Super Bowl LIX set for February 9 in New Orleans, Kelce and his team are in full-on game prep mode. The Grammys and Super Bowl fall just a week apart, making it impossible for him to attend.
Kelce, who missed the 2024 Grammys for the same reason, will once again be watching from afar as Swift potentially makes history.
Swift Will Be in New Orleans for Super Bowl Sunday
Even though Kelce can’t make it to the Grammys, Swift will 100% be in the Caesars Superdome cheering him on when the Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles. Their relationship has been a major talking point all season, with Swifties and Chiefs Kingdom colliding in ways no one expected.
Kelce on Swift: “She’s Rewriting History”
Kelce has always been vocal about supporting Swift, even if he can’t be there in person. Speaking at a pre-game press conference last year, he said:
“She’s unbelievable. She’s rewriting the history books herself. I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and bring some hardware, too.”
That “hardware” turned out to be the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win last season, where Swift celebrated with Kelce on the field, sealing the moment with a now-iconic kiss.
Swift’s Grammy Dominance Continues
Swift, 35, has already made history by becoming the first woman to be nominated for Album of the Year seven times. She won last year for “Midnights,” marking her fourth win in the category, and she’s in the running again this year for “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Even if Kelce won’t be in the audience, you can bet he’ll be cheering her on from Kansas City.
