If you’re planning a weekend shopping trip to Kohl’s, double-check your local store as this Saturday, March 29, marks the closing for 27 underperforming Kohl’s stores across 15 states.
Kohl’s announced the closures in January as part of a broader transformation effort, which includes reducing 10% of its corporate workforce, ending Amazon return services in select locations, and shutting down its San Bernardino, California, fulfillment center in May.
Even after these closures, Kohl’s will continue operating over 1,120 locations nationwide. The company reported a 9.4% sales decline in Q4 2024 and a 7.2% dip for the year. Looking ahead, Kohl’s expects a 2% drop in net sales for 2025.
