Swedish producer Avicii has become one of the few artists to ever hit a billion plays with a single track on Youtube. Can you guess the track?
Premiered on the Ultra stage back in 2013, Avicii’s ‘Wake Me Up’ featuring Aloe Blacc has been one of the Swede’s biggest hits to date. A country-tinged single, the track was the first of Avicii’s new ‘sound’ of electronic music. Received well by the audience, the track has been certified Platinum across charts and has now reached yet another milestone – a billion plays on YouTube!
Avicii now joins the elite group consisting of the likes of Major Lazer, DJ Snake, LMFAO, Psy & Justin Bieber who have crossed the 1 billion play mark. Though Avicii did take 3 years to hit the mark and is miles away from Psy’s 2.6 billion plays, none can argue the fact that the producer and his music are in a league of its own.
