Adding another feather to his posthumous successes, Avicii’s ‘Waiting for Love’ which he produced along with Martin Garrix has crossed one Billion streams on Spotify.
In an achievement that added them to the prestigious Billion Streams club on Spotify, Garrix shared a heartfelt tweet with pictures with Avicii saying “I miss you Avicii! …I wish we could celebrate it together.”

Released back in 2015, the track was from Avicii’s second album ‘Stories’ and being the lead single from the album, it served to show fans the new soundscape. Premiered by both Avicii and Garrix in their sets at Ultra Music Festival that year, a norm for a lot of new releases by artists, Garrix in fact was not a named co-producer to it. Lyrics to the track by Simon Aldred are also uncredited.
This however isn’t Avicii’s first time on this momentous Billion plus streams list, about two years ago, his anthem ‘Wake Me Up’ with his friend and collaborator Aloe Blacc also became a part of that club.
In celebration of the mammoth achievement, stream the song on Spotify or enjoy the official video which has garnered a whopping 971 Million views itself as well here!
