Axwell Λ Ingrosso set to perform at UEFA Europa League final

Just after being announced as the headliners for Ultra Miami and releasing a brilliant list of supporting act for their upcoming performance at the new venue of Creamfields London, there’s no stopping for the Grammy nominated Swedish duo. Axwell Λ Ingrosso have confirmed that they will be returning to Friends Arena at their hometown of Stockholm to play a special set during the opening ceremony of this year’s UEFA Europa League final on May 24.

The Swedish duo last played at Friends Arena last to a sell-out crowd in 2012, as part of Swedish House Mafia. This set promises to be one of their trademark shows, which will put together hits from the past and the present, for this highly anticipated sporting event. This is what the duo had to say:

“It’s an honour to return to the Friends Arena in our home town of Stockholm for this huge sporting event.”

This pair was a part of the iconic Swedish House Mafia – one of the biggest electronic acts in the world. SHM sold about 1 million tickets worldwide and more than 11 million singles. The biggest hits of the duo include tracks such as ‘Something New’, ‘Sun Is Shining’, ‘Dream Bigger’ and many more. Fans can expect Axwell and Ingrosso to play their latest hits as well as take the fans on a nostalgic ride with their classic tracks.
