It has now been imminent for a few days, but it’s sadly now official. Tomorrowland will no longer be taking place in Belgium even to its delayed fall dates in 2021.
In an official statement shared across their social media channels just minutes ago, the festival shared that “It is with heavy heart that our organization must announce that the 16th edition of Tomorrowland Belgium cannot take place in 2021.”
Going forward to explain the reason why, they said, “Our dream was to welcome the People of Tomorrow, who we’ve been missing for too long, to celebrate life to the fullest. But unfortunately, the local government has not given the permit to organize Tomorrowland.”
While they did not announce if they will be giving ticket holders the option for a refund, they went on to say that ticket holders for Tomorrowland Belgium will be contacted personally.
While no further details except the dates for 2022 have been revealed yet, with a reputed festival such as Tomorrowland, it is only a matter of time till the company reveals their plans to write a new chapter in the history of Tomorrowland.
The 16th edition of Tomorrowland will take place over the weekends of July 22 to July 24 and July 29 to July 31, 2022.
